Experimental conditions of rapid temperature change test chamber for lithium battery

In the lithium battery test, rapid temperature change test chamber can be used for lithium battery temperature cycling test or thermal shock test, different standards corresponding to different test methods, the following are a few common lithium battery rapid temperature change test chamber experimental requirements.

Lithium battery rapid temperature change test chamber experimental methods:

1. Lithium battery rapid temperature change test chamber technical requirements:

3.Test methods:

*The test requirements of "temperature cycle test" in the standard GB 31241-2022:

(1) The lithium battery is put into the test chamber under the environment of 20℃±5℃, and the test chamber is heated up to 72℃±2℃, and kept for 6h.
(2) Then the test chamber temperature down to -40 ℃ ± 2 ℃, keep 6h. 72 ~ -40 ℃ cycle 10 times, the two temperature conversion time <30min.
(3) After the test, the lithium battery is kept at room temperature 20℃±5℃ for at least 6h.
(4) The battery should not catch fire, explode or leak.

*In the "YDB 032-2009" standard "temperature cycle test" test requirements:

(1) The battery is fully charged according to the regulations, and put into the test box.
(2) The test chamber temperature to 72 ℃ ± 2 ℃, keep 12h.
(3) Then the test chamber temperature down to -40 ℃ ± 2 ℃, keep 12h. 72 ~ -40 ℃ cycle 9 times, the two temperature conversion time <30min.
(4) At the end of the test, lithium battery at room temperature 20 ℃ ± 2 ℃ static at least 24h. battery should not fire, no explosion.

*In the "GB 8897.4-2008" standard "thermal shock test" test requirements:

(1) The battery is put into the test box at room temperature, and the test box is heated up to 75℃ and kept for 6h.
(2) Then the test chamber temperature down to -40 ℃, keep 6h. 75 ~ -40 ℃ cycle 10 times, the two temperature conversion time <30min. after the test, lithium batteries stored at room temperature for 24h.
(3) The storage time of the large battery at the test temperature should be at least 12h instead of 6 h. The battery should have no quality loss, no leakage, no discharge, no short-circuit, no rupture, no explosion, no fire in the test.
