GB/T 32638-2016 is the national standard of China, which specifies the technical requirements and test methods of the power adapter and charging data interface of mobile communication terminals. The standard focuses on the power adapters and charging data interfaces of mobile communication terminals (such as mobile phones and tablets), aiming to ensure that their performance and compatibility in terms of power output, charging speed and data transmission meet the specifications.
I. Scope:
This standard specifies the technical requirements and test methods for charging/data interfaces, AC power adapters and cables of mobile communication terminals (hereinafter referred to as "Terminals"). This includes the physical characteristics, electrical characteristics, safety characteristics, electromagnetic compatibility, environmental adaptability, and identification marks involved.
This standard applies to terminals, AC power adapters and their connection cables that use wired power supply. This standard does not apply to mobile terminals that require special power supply and applications, such as enterprises only. Industry special mobile equipment, etc. Other portable or small household electronic devices can also be used to power or charge.

V. Test Methods (A Part) :
Step 1: Work at High Temperatures
The electrical performance of the power adapter shall meet the requirements of 4.2.3.4.2, 4.2.3.4.3 and 4.2.3.4.4 after 2h high temperature test at (40±3)℃ under working condition.
Step 2: Temperature and Humidity
After the environmental test at (40±2)℃ and relative humidity of 933% for 48 h, the mechanical structure of the power adapter shall not be damaged, and the electrical performance shall meet the requirements of 4.2.3.4.2, 4.2.3.4.3,4.2.3.4.4 Requirements.
Step 3: Vibration
After the power adapter is vibrated by sweep frequency of 10 Hz-55 Hz and displacement amplitude of 0.35 mm, the mechanical structure shall not be loose or damaged, and the electrical performance shall conform to requirement of 4.2.3.4.2, 4.2.3.4.3 and 4.2.3.4.4.
Step 4: Impact
Power adapter withstands peak acceleration of 300 m/s? The mechanical structure shall not be loose or damaged after 18 times of half sine pulse of 11 ms, and the electrical performance shall meet the requirements of 4.2.3.4.2, 4.2.3.4.3 and 4.2.3.4.4.
By complying with GB/T 32638-2016, manufacturers and users of power adapters and charging data interfaces can ensure that the charging and data transmission functions of mobile communication terminals meet the requirements of the specification, improving the reliability and compatibility of their use.
