Inspection and Maintenance of Xenon Lamp Weatherproof Test Chamber

2025-04-29

Xenon lamp is a high-efficiency light source created by the discharge of ultra-high-pressure xenon lamp. The light energy distribution ranges from 270nm short-wave ultraviolet light to visible light to infrared light. The xenon lamp radiation used for exposure test needs to be filtered to reduce short-wave ultraviolet and infrared radiation. The energy distribution of the xenon lamp light source after filtering by the filter (usually borosilicate glass) is very similar to the light energy distribution of the sun, especially the ultraviolet light (250-400nm), which is very suitable for laboratory simulation of climate light aging test.

Xenon lamp climate test chamber can simulate the damage caused by sunlight, rain and dew. It uses xenon lamp to simulate the effect of sunlight, and uses condensed moisture to simulate rain and dew. The tested material is placed in a cycle program of alternating light and moisture at a certain temperature for testing. It takes a few days or weeks to reproduce the damage that occurs outdoors for months or even years. The artificial accelerated aging test data can help select new materials, transform existing materials, and evaluate how changes in formulations affect the durability of products.
Xenon lamp weatherproof test chamber inspection and maintenance:
1. Before testing, check whether the test cotton cloth is hard or dirty, otherwise it needs to be replaced;
2. Check the water level of the test cloth every three months;
3. Check the water level in the water tank irregularly before each test;
4. Maintain the distribution room every six months;
5. Maintain the inner box every three months;
6. Maintain the machine body regularly every six months.
