Test method of VOC gas sensor calibration chamber

2025-02-10

The calibration of VOC sensors, whether mutual calibration or calibration with standard instruments, is based on GB/T 14295-2008 Air Filter and the American Pollution Control Association recommended specification IEST-RP-CC014.2 Optical Particle Counter. The relevant provisions of calibration and characteristic calibration require the use of VOC gas sensor calibration chamber for calibration. The test method of the voc gas sensor calibration chamber is as follows.
Test equipment: Huanyi Instrument voc gas sensor calibration chamber
Calibration basis: GB/T 14295-2008 Air Filter, IEST-RP-CC014.2 Optical Particle Counter

Main content

1. Response time
Test method: Under the specified environment, first introduce a gas standard substance with a volume fraction of 50% of the sensor's measurement range for 3 minutes and record the initial value. Then, switch the sensor to standard air to restore the zero point. Repeat the above process and record the time it takes for the sensor indication to reach 90% of the initial value. Repeat the test 3 times and take the average value as the response time.

2. Recovery time
Test method: Based on the "response time" test, after obtaining a stable value, switch the sensor to clean air and record the time it takes for the indication to reach 10% of the stable value. Repeat the test 3 times and take the average value as the recovery time.

3. Basic error
Test method: In a specified environment, introduce gas standard substances with a volume fraction of 25%, 50% and 85% of the sensor's measurement range, repeat each concentration 3 times, and read the average output value.

4. Zero drift and sensitivity drift
Test method: Run continuously for 7 days, introduce clean air and the measured gas standard substance with a volume fraction of 50% of the sensor's measurement range for 3 minutes every 12 hours, record the zero output value and signal output value to evaluate the zero drift and sensitivity drift.
Simply organized into the following table:

Test items

Test method

Response time

Under the specified environment, introduce 50% concentration of gas standard substance, record the time to reach 90% of the initial value, repeat 3 times and take the average.

Recovery time

Based on the stable value of the response time, record the time to reach 10% of the stable value in clean air, repeat 3 times and take the average.

Basic error

25%, 50%, 85% concentration gas standard substances are introduced, each concentration is repeated 3 times, and the average output value is read.

Zero drift and sensitivity drift

For 7 consecutive days, clean air and 50% concentration gas standard substances are introduced every 12 hours, and the zero point and signal output values are recorded.
