Types of altitude test chambers

Altitude test chambers simulate low air pressure at high altitudes. Typically, altitude test chambers use equipment such as compressors and vacuum pumps to regulate pressure and temperature to simulate different altitude and temperature conditions. Test specimens are placed inside the chamber and their response and performance is recorded through a data acquisition and monitoring system. Common classifications are as follows:

1. by function: altitude test chambers can be divided into two types: ordinary and constant temperature and humidity. Ordinary altitude test chamber can only simulate height and temperature conditions, while constant temperature and humidity type altitude test chamber can simulate height and temperature conditions, but also humidity conditions. 2. According to the use of points: altitude test chamber can be divided into military type, civilian type and aerospace type three. Military altitude test chambers are mainly used to test the reliability and adaptability of military equipment, civilian altitude test chambers are used to test the adaptability of civilian products, while aerospace altitude test chambers are used to test the adaptability of spacecraft and aerospace equipment.

3. By altitude: altitude test chambers can be divided into low pressure chambers, medium pressure chambers and high pressure chambers. The low pressure chamber can simulate the environment below 5000m in height, the medium pressure chamber can simulate the environment from 5000-10000m in height, and the high pressure chamber can simulate the environment above 10000m in height.

4. According to the size of the shape: altitude test chamber can be divided into walk-in and vertical two. Leigh altitude test chamber is smaller in size and suitable for small product testing, while the walk-in altitude test chamber is larger in size and suitable for large products, such as low pressure testing of whole vehicles.
